Become a Volunteer for SquashBusters
SquashBusters is an intensive afterschool
program for Boston's urban youth, designed to use the sport of squash
as a way to positively engage students in academics and community
service. The program was founded over 8 years ago by Greg Zaff,
who worked from his home and tutored 12 students daily, as well
as teaching them squash in various clubs throughout the city. Now,
8 years later, the program serves over 150 students per year in
a beautiful state of the art facility on Northeastern Campus.
We are looking for volunteers for
our academics program, squash program, and mentoring program. Students
from 6th grade through 12th grade participate in this powerful program
all year, in a fun and friendly environment. Practices take place
each afternoon at the Badger and Rosen SquashBusters Facility located
on Columbus Ave. Come and be a part of our team by helping out a
young person in your area. You'll meet lots of great people, while
positively influencing a student. Take advantage of the facility
by tutoring a student for a few hours, and then have a work-out
on the 4th floor! Practice times vary each day, but take place between
the hours of 2pm and 7pm. For more information on how to volunteer,
please contact:
